Ultimate Goals for 2013!!

Well, 2012 is completely dusted and done and 2013 is in full swing already! I feel as though this year really is going to be a big one, one that promises to bring not only a lot of changes in my life but some amazing memories to look back on. For those of you who don't read my blog regularly this year I will be in my final year of high school and I, like most people, have mixed feelings about this! I'm incredibly excited to be done with regulatory school hats and oral presentations but it's going to be difficult not seeing all my lovely friends and classmates each day!

Oops I'm getting sidetracked (what's new there). Seeing as this year is going to be a big one for me I've set myself some goals that I'm going to put up onto my inspiration board (which I am yet to make) so I can be reminded of them throughout the year. I'm quite confident a lot of you will have similar new years resolutions or goals in mind for this year but if not you might be inspired, so read on!
***

1. Do homework as soon as possible and keep on top of notes and studying.
For those of you who have already left school or in the early stages of high school this is inapplicable but senior students I'd have this in mind! I'm quite a good student but last year I relied too much on my god-given talents rather than working hard for the grades I wanted. This year I want to make sure I never fall behind and I manage my workload to minimise stress. I want to make the most of every opportunity I'm presented with and if that means missing out on socialising to stay home and study that's what I'll do!

2. Drink LOADS of water
Some time in 2012 is was apparently proven drinking water has no huge health benefit for your body however I don't believe it! Whenever I stick to my 2 litres of water a day routine I find my skin stays clearer and I also feel revitalized and happy! Also drinking water keeps away headaches and dehydration and all that other yucky stuff, so drink up! I'm challenging myself to always have a bottle of water with me whether that's at night when I'm about to go to sleep, at work, or out shopping with friends, that way I can keep up my h20 levels! :P

3. Go for a walk every day
Most people strive for a huge exercise regime at the start of the new year and I say good on them! Fortunately I was not only blessed with a fast metabolism but I'm constantly on my feet working, helping around the property or shopping (shh it counts!) plus in the summertime I'm swimming every day so I've never felt the need to introduce a work out routine to stay fit BUT I find even a quick 15 minute walk can help you clear your mind and ease off any stress or worry you have on your mind. This year I am aiming to go for a fifteen minute walk every day, it's a small time slot that can easily be spared for even the busiest people and if it helps clear your mind you will be more focused to do other things!

4. Always ask God first and don't hesitate to talk to Him
Those of you who aren't religious feel free to skip to the next goal! But for me 2013 is going to be my last year in a christian school and I really want to take that opportunity by the bars and go with it. My journey with Christ has been sort of up and down because of my enjoyment of fence sitting, but I really want to connect more with God and turn to him first when I'm feeling down or confused.

5. Be the best version of you!
I may have been inspired by another quite popular blogger (comment if you can guess who) to add this one to my list of goals. It should probably be number one on my list but that's just how I wrote it. There's no denying we all go through phases of becoming a person who does not portray our true character. When you're around your friends a lot it's easy to fall into the same steps as them, start liking the same things, start dressing the same etc. I am definitely guilty of this! Although lately I've realised I don't want to be remembered for these traits, I want to be known for being me! And I don't want to be someone who gossips or discriminates or stands back while others are getting trodden on, 2013 come at me because this time you're going to see the real me!!

6. STOP GOING ON FACEBOOK
okay so let's all put our hands up if we click on that little blue icon a little too often. Teens, adults, kids alike, we all spend countless minutes (or hours for some of you) checking notifications and stalking that hot next door neighbour (what?) when really there is a floor-length list of things we could be doing. I want to stop checking facebook so often because to be completely honest, most of the posts on there are complete and utter garbage!

7. Keep your room tidy and clutter-free
It may seem like a silly goal to have but I find when my room is spotless and everything is neatly put away without any bits and pieces lying around I feel a lot happier and relaxed. Simple as that!

8. Stay positive :)
I blab endlessly about being positive in every single post but it's such an important life lesson! Recently I began working in a new place and I felt really down because I didn't like the environment I was in but by being positive I can get through it each day with ease! You can get through absolutely anything by being positive and I want to keep up that interior this year!

So those are my goals, there are a few others I have but decided not to put on there because they aren't essential and there's a chance I wont really follow them (eat healthier hehe). If any of these have inspired you to strive for something in 2013 comment below and I'll get back to you! I love hearing from people who read my blogs! ♥ Also, sorry this post is a bit delayed, I've been coming back and writing it whenever I have a minute spare hence why it may be a bit disjointed! :P Hope you're all enjoying your holidays or school or wherever you are!~ .xxx CJD
